Eva is an Associate of the Firm and her core practice is corporate and shipping law. She is actively involved in a broad array of corporate law matters including: The establishment, regulatory compliance and day-to-day maintenance of domestic and off-shore companies and branches/offices of foreign companies (Law 27/1975, Law 89/1967 and other); drafting shareholders’ agreements; reviewing documentation pertaining to ship financing and other transactions; opening bank accounts and carrying out KYC requirements. Eva also regularly deals with and advises on real estate, civil litigation, immigration, social security and labor matters. In the past, Eva served as legal counsel of an NGO, providing comprehensive legal consultation, litigation, and procedural support to refugees, immigrants, and homeless people. This diverse background has fueled Eva’s thorough interest in regulatory developments and corporate compliance, particularly regarding human rights, gender equality, inclusivity and diversity requirements for enterprises.
